【I. Protection of Water Sources】
◆  Protecting the Feitsui Reservoir Watershed – Adopting Pinglin Organic Tea Plantation

Cooperation partner: Tse-Xin Organic Agriculture Foundation

Since PLANET's operations do no t consume industrial process water, we have broadened our focus on water issues to the protection of ecological water sources, while simultaneously conserving rare and precious conservation species unique t o Taiwan. Since 2010, w e have partnered with the T se-Xin Organic Agriculture Foundation, continuously promoting the "Pinglin Organic Tea Plantation Adoption Program" for 16 consecutive years up t o 2025. Through this adoption initiative, the tea plantations no long er use pes ticides, chemical fertilizers, or o thertoxic substances, preventing toxic runoff int o the Feitsui Reservoir and keeping the water sources clean. Furthermore, it has conserved the rich and precious ecosystems within the watershed.

  • Protection of Water Sources
  • The Pinglin tea plantations are located in the critic al Feitsui Reservoir catchment area, which provides drinking water for approximately 6 million people in Taipei and New Taipei City; it s importance is self -evident. We t ake action by encouraging farmers to transition to organic farming, subsidizing their use of organic fertilizers, guaranteeing the purchase of t ea leaves, and actively protecting the ecosystem while conserving specific species.

  • Biodiversity Conservation
  • The Feitsui Reservoir is located within a protected water source area. Through long-term conservation efforts and PL ANET’s promotion of the Pinglin Organic Tea Plantation Adoption Program, the Comp any has sponsor ed tea farmers in the reservoir’s upstream catchment area to cultivate tea without chemical fertilizers or pesticides. This has allo wed the ecosystem to develop naturally, and the resulting ecological richness and biodiversity reflect the success of conservation efforts in the reservoir area.

  • Employee adoption expansion of influence
  • For many y ears, we have been calling on employees to participate together, with a t otal of 1,155 cultivators over the past 16 y ears, fostering a strong sense of commitment to environmental sustainability among staff.

【II. Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction】
◆  Earth Day Participation – Support for "Earth Hour”

Cooperation partner: Global customers, suppliers, government agencies, schools, and NPOs

  • 16 years of continuous action, conveying a commitment to protect the Earth
  • Since 2010, PLANET Technology has supported the global voluntary carbon reduction initiative "Earth Hour" for 16 consecutive years. By turning off lights for one hour, they not only convey their care for the Earth but also continuously deepen their corporate commitment to sustainability, partnering with Global Partners to promote a low carbon future.

In 2025, PLANET once again called upon employees, customers, suppliers, investors, government, non- profit organizations, and social cooperation partners—all stakeholders— to participate. With enthusiastic response from over a thousand people worldwide, the initiative used simple yet symbolic actions to amplify the voice of "carbon reduction" and expand the green influence limitlessly.

【III. Clean Air】
◆  Reducing Air Pollution • Supporting Soil Health • Enhancing Biodiversity – "Clean Air, Clear Mind Action" Straw Burning Suspension

Cooperation partner: International Nature Restoration Action Association

  • Reduce air pollution | Reduce carbon emissions | Cultivate fertile fields
  • Rice is the most important food crop in Taiwan, with a planting area of approximately 260,000 hectares and producing approximately 1.41 million tons of rice straws. The air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions caused by burning rice straws every year have a significant impact on the environment.

In 2021, PLANET cooperated with the International Nature Restoration Action Association in developing the "Clean air, Clear mind action" project, which aims to solve the problem of burning rice straws through the use of rice straw decomposing bacteria. PLANET integrates the power of the enterprise side, executions and coordination with the association and combines with government units to jointly exert positive social influence. PLANET also filmed documentaries throughout the entire process to influence more people using the power of imagery.

  • Reduce the habit of burning rice straws to improve the environment
  • Reduce carbon emissions and improve air quality.

  • Agricultural waste recycling and sustainable ecological utilization
  • Replace the burning habit with one week's quick-acting rice straw decomposing bacteria.

  • Integrate resources to leverage a positive impact
  • Connect government, enterprises, environmental organizations and farmers to create a sustainable environment.

  • Support local creation in rural areas
  • Understanding the local community, thereby driving regional revitalization.

The sustainability micro-movie "Clean Air, Clear Mind Action" won the Silver Award at the Taipei Golden Eagle Micro-movie Festival

The concept of the film is to narrate the origin and process of actions, hoping to convey positive forces through visual images and to use the temperature of the land to convey the protection of the environment, connect farmers and observe changes in the fields, and assist in solving farmers' farming problems. PLANET hopes to exert long-term positive influence through image dissemination, raise more people's attention to environmental sustainability issues and work with us to care about the land environment. 【IV. Forest Protection and Carbon Reduction】
◆  Providing Forest Habitats • Promoting Biodiversity – [Tree Planting Action]

Cooperation partner: Danish customer EET

Since 2022, PL ANET has partnered with Danish customer EET t o support "World Environment Day" and "Green Friday" by planting tr ees in Madagascar and Kenya. From 2022 to 2025, a total of 31,000 tr ees have been plant ed, reducing carbon emissions b y a cumulative 372 metric tons of C O2e.

Based on the environmental characteristics of e ach area, planting tr ees such as Ravintsara, fig tr ees, and umbrella trees helps preserve local plants and protect the ecosystem. Tree planting c an also enhance carbon sequestration and mitigate climate change.
