PLANET Long Reach PoE (LRP) solution is designed to extend IP Ethernet transmission and inject power simultaneously over any existing coaxial, UTP, twisted-pair cable or telephone wires for distance up to 1,000m (3,289ft) into PoE IP camera, PoE compliant Outdoor Wireless Access Points (APs), PoE compliant Indoor Wireless Access Points (APs) and any 802.3af/at complied powered device (PD). The solution also eliminates the need for an additional power supply for remote sites when the existing single power source enables to provide power to both LRP extenders and the PDs at long range.

• Multi-port LRP Switches with Intelligent PoE Management

PLANET Long Reach PoE over Coaxial Switch is one multi-channel unit that comes with L2/L4 switching engine, IPv6/IPv4 protocol and single power source. The Long Reach PoE over Coaxial Switches are equipped with 4, 8 or 16 Long Reach PoE injector ports with a built-in power source for all connected LRP Extenders over coaxial cable to power and transmit IP video and data. All the PLANET LRP switches are equipped with additional Gigabit copper ports and 100/1000BASE-X SFP fiber slots for high bandwidth data and video uplink.

As an advanced PoE switch designed for non-stop surveillance or wireless networks, the Long Reach PoE over Coaxial Switch series features intelligent PoE management functions such as PD alive check, scheduled power recycling and over temperature protection to improve the availability of critical business applications. Furthermore, the time-based PoE schedule function can be used to control PoE power feeding during specified time intervals to help companies and campuses to save power and money.

• Single-port LRP Injectors

The Long Reach PoE over Coaxial/UTP Injectors is installed at the head-end location connecting to the Network Video Recorder (NVR) or Layer 3 Core Switch. With the plug and play setup, the Long Reach PoE over Coaxial/UTP Injectors can immediately deliver DC power to the LRP Extenders where data and power are simultaneously transmitted over a coaxial, UTP or long twisted-pair cable for up to 1,000 meters.

• Single-port LRP Extenders

The Long Reach PoE over Coaxial/UTP Extender is designed to transmit power and data to the PoE IP camera, PoE compliant Outdoor Wireless Access Points (APs), PoE compliant Indoor Wireless Access Points (APs) and any 802.3af/at PoE PD in a remote area. Powered by the LRP Switch or LRP Injector, the Long Reach PoE over Coaxial/UTP Extender, a single-port 802.3at PoE+ device, provides a maximum of 25-watt power output over Ethernet cable where data and power are transmitted to any PoE PD at the same time.
