POE-100 is not compatible with 802.3af standard currently.
Theoretically, if an 802.3af device is using the same wires as POE-100 does to supply power, the device can be activated. But this is not recommended by PLANET.
1. Please check the POE-150S is connect with an IEEE802.3af complied in-line device like POE-150, and check if the POE LED indicator at POE-150S is steady blink once attach to the 802.3af in-line power device. Then connect the DC plug cable to the device you would like to power on.
2. Please check the cable type of the connection from one end to the other end. The cable should be an 8-wire UTP, Category 5 or above, EIA568 cable within 100 meters. A cable with only 4-wire, short loop or over 100 meters, all will effect the power supply.
3. Please check the power requirement of the device you would like to power and check the label of the POE-150S if it meets the requirement. There are three models of POE-150S for different power output, DC 5V, DC 9 V and DC 12V.
4. Please check the specification of the powered device. If the device is over the specification of POE-150S, the LED indicator of POE-150S will blink instead of stead green. The maximum currents that POE-150S can supply are: 2A (5V DC), 1.3A (9V DC) and 1A (12V DC).
The default SNMP Trap community name is public. And it cannot be changed.
Please look the Power Usage table. If want to make the PSU works 100%, it only works between 0 ~ 40 Degree C. 50 Degree C will reduce 20% of Power Budget.
POE-150/150S will use 4-wire for data transmission (pair 1, 2, pair 3, 6) and 4-wire for power supply (pair 4, 5, pair 7, 8), thus Gigabit Ethernet device connect to POE-150/150S will not send data over the power wire and the transmit speed shall change to 100Mbps.
FSD-803PE supports two power sources, 12VDC and 802.3af, please check which kind of power system deployed.
1. Powered from POE: please check with network administrator if the POE injector device is complied with 802.3af standard and well connected to port#1 of the Switch with 4-pair UTP cable within 100 meters. FSD-803PE will detect the signal from 802.3af POE device and response to get the 48VDC power. Connect with non-802.3af complied injector to port#1 could damage the Switch permanently.
2. Powered from 12VDC: the Switch supports 12VDC AC adapter. Please check the AC adapter complies with 12V DC output. Incorrect DC power to the Switch, higher voltage could damage the Switch, and lower voltage will not power on the Switch.
FSD-808P can power 8 IEEE 802.3af PD devices. Each Port supports up to 15.4Watts. The total PoE Power Budget is 125Watts, must not over the PoE Power Budget, otherwise, it might cause the FSD-808P malfunction.
