Yes, ICA-HM230 PoE interface has followed standard IEEE802.3af, so you can connect to any 802.3af PoE PSE Switch directly.

The ICA-HM230 can send JPEG/AVI files via FTP, SMTP and SAMBA server when motion detected.

Please installed Microsoft®’s DirectX 9.0 or later and use the Windows Media Player 11.0 or later to play the AVI filed recorded by the Device.

Maybe NAT router does not support UPnP function. Please check user’s manual of router and turn on UPnP function.

The device is not weatherproof, so it cannot be used outdoors.

PLANET ICA-550W does support web-based mail with SMTP mail server. Please reference the below tips for avoiding failure delivery:
1.Free email account only support web based email without SMTP service.
2.Some e-mail servers reject to receive the e-mails from unknown SMTP servers.
3.Some of SMTP servers require SSL authentication. (i.e. G-mail)
4.Some of email servers recognize that the sending is a junk email.
5.Some of email servers recognize the ICA-550W as blaster if the notification emails are sent frequently.
6.Some of SMTP servers only accept the connections from the same domain.
7.Some of e-mail servers limit max size of e-mail attachments.
