Please be reminded that the last version (V1.2.2.57727) of the NVR-420 does support auto login function in local display after marking the item.
Device reboot or power off/on the device will automatically log in to the NVR-420

Follow the steps below to upgrade the NVR-420 firmware:

Step 1: Go to “NVR Setup” page first.
Step 2: Go to “System Options→Maintenance” page.
Step 3: Find the “Upgrade NVR Firmware” on the right side of the page.
Step 4 & 5: Press “Browse” button and select NVR-420’s Firmware
Step 6: Press “Upgrade” button to upgrade your NVR-420.

To cancel “Auto Login”, you have to log out first and then return to the login page. Please press the “Power” button and you will see the menu as shown in the picture below. Select the first icon from left and back to the login page.

Disable “Auto Login” and then enter user name/password to log in the system. After that, “Auto Login” will be canceled

3. Restart
4. Reset to Default

Go to C:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files and check to see if there is an entry for the file "Web Watch2 Control". The status column should show "Installed". If the file is not listed, make sure your Security Settings in Internet Explorer are configured properly and then try reloading the device’s home page. Most likely, the ActiveX control was not downloaded and installed correctly. Check your Internet Explorer security settings and then close and restart Internet Explorer. Try to browse and log in again.

Please follow the steps below:

  1. Re-power the device if you cannot find the unit within 1~2 minutes.
  2. Do not connect device over a router. PLANET IP Finder II program cannot detect device over a router.
  3. If there are two wired/wireless network cards on laptop, the IP Finder II cannot detect the camera; please disable the network card which is not connecting to the camera.
  4. If IP address is not assigned to the PC that is running PLANET IP Finder II program, then PLANET IP Finder II program cannot find device. Make sure that IP address is assigned to the PC properly.
  5. Antivirus software on the PC might interfere with the setup program. Disable the firewall of the antivirus software during the setup of this device.
  6. Check the firewall setting of your PC or Notebook.

That's because the system with the newer video formats, and the PC need to install the newer DC Viewer software to appear the video on PC properly.
Please go to "Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs" to remove old DC Viewer software at first. Then connect to IP camera via web browser again, and it will prompt to install the new DC Viewer software into PC.

The default IP address is 192.168.0.20, and you could use the Device Search utility on the bundled CD to obtain the current IP address of IP camera. Please refer to the user’s manual for more detailed information.

The device is not weatherproof and cannot be used outdoors.

A :

Default Gateway and DNS server address should be set up correctly. If FTP does not work properly, ask your ISP or network administrator about the transferring mode of FTP server.
