Jack Chen, the Chairman & CEO of PLANET Technology, received the “Distinguished Leader Award” from the Global Views - Commonwealth Publishing Group (CWGV), the most influential and prestigious cultural enterprise in Taiwan and the Chinese-speaking world. The award acknowledges the influence PLANET has brought to the global networking communication industry since the start of the business 31 years ago and the outstanding achievements it has contributed under Mr. Chen’s leadership.
Mr. Chen founded PLANET Technology in 1993, investing in his brand and focusing on innovative R&D with the belief of “developing a valuable international brand for Taiwan.” Beginning with the European market, PLANET has since covered more than 160 countries around the world.
Achieving a global brand status and establishing milestones in technology innovation, branding, and sustainable development, PLANET has been placed in the Top 5% of Outstanding Companies in Corporate Governance Evaluation for the seventh consecutive time and has received the Taiwan Excellence Award for 21 consecutive years. In 2024, PLANET was ranked among Forbes Asia’s 200 Best Under A Billion and won the COMPUTEX Best Choice Award – Sustainable Tech Special Award.
Mr. Chen maintains the value of altruism and incorporates CSR and ESG into PLANET’s business strategies in ways that have made “PLANET” a global brand for ESG practices. Particularly, Mr. Chen has called upon hundreds of domestic and international entrepreneurs to support children’s reading programs in rural communities and has advocated for farmers to stop burning rice straws to reduce air pollution and lower carbon emissions to protect biodiversity.
“This honor is an affirmation of the PLANET team’s efforts and accomplishments. I hope we can continue to prioritize altruism and the common good as we strive to create positive influence, working towards a sustainable and better world, regardless of the challenges we may face in the future,” Mr. Chen said.
