Topology:
Follow the steps below for setting up the routers:
A. Configure VR-100
1. Go to the VPN à IPsec page.
2. Set the IPsec Tunnels as enable.
3. Click the Add IPsec Tunnel button.
4. Set the Active as enable.
5. Enter the Tunnel Name and select Interface.
6. Enter the Local Network and Netmask as the router’s LAN IP address.
7. Enter the Remote Host/IP Address as the public WAN IP address of ICG-2510.
8. Enter the Remote Network and Netmask as the LAN subnet of ICG-2510.
9. Enter the Preshare Key as the same as the one set on both routers .
10. Set the IKE Setting. It should be the same as the ICG-2510.
11. Click the Apply Settings button to save changes.
VPN Connection Status
There are two ways to check the VPN connection status.
1. Go to the VPN à IPsec page. The status shows Connected.
2. Go to the VPN à VPN Connection à IPsec page.
NOTE: The system time of both devices have to be the same for creating VPN tunnel.
B. Configure ICG-2510
1. Go to the VPN à IPSec page.
2. Click Add to create a new connection.
3. Configure the IPSEC role as Client.
4. Enter a name for the connection.
5. Select WAN for Local WAN Interface.
6. Enter Local Subnet as the LAN subnet of the router.
7. Enter Peer WAN address as the WAN IP address of VR-100.
8. Enter Peer subnet as the LAN subnet of VR-100.
9. Enter the Pre-share Key as the same as the one set on both routers.
10. Set the Advanced Settings. It should be the same as the VR-100.
VPN Connection Status
The Status field shows ESTABLISED meaning the VPN connection has successfully been made.
