[MAP-2000] What is “Auto IP” for MAP-2000 series?

The “Auto IP” is a way to provide MAP-2000 IP subnet for its WiFi Local AP interfaces and backhaul interface.
By default, it is turned ON at every MAP-2000 at the format 172.x.y.0/24 where “x” and “y” is converted from the MAC address of MAP-2000.

For example, if the WAN MAC address of MAP-2000 is: 00-30-4F-4B-0E-0F, then x will be 14 and y will be 15.

So, this MAP-2000 will with the IP address by default:

WAN: DHCP client
Backhaul IP: 10.14.15.1 / 8
LAN and WiFi: 172.14.15.1 / 24

It will be much easy to convert and understand how to plan the IP network and the mesh network can be installed with just turn the device on.

Of course, if the network installer would like to have the IP subnet of her/his own, then it can be turned off.
