How to reset SGS-6310 series to factory default setting

(1) access switch via console 

(2) enter monitor mode

Enter the monitor mode and press ctrl+p when you see the following logs:

Current time: 1970-1-1 0:00:00

SDRAM Fast Test...............................PASSED!

Flash Fast Test...............................PASSED! 

RTC Test......................................PASSED! 

When in the monitor mode, use the command “dir” to show all the files.

Then delete the “startup-config” file as commanded to recover the Factory Default setting.

monitor# delete startup-config

This file will be erased, are you sure? (y/n) y

monitor# reboot 

Do you want to reboot the Switch? (y/n) y
